University of Regina Microcredential Certificate in Pathways for Carbon Reduction

Clean Energy Technologies Research Institute

We are excited to announce our Microcredential Certificate in Pathways for Carbon Reduction, which will be offered on October 20-22, 2021.

Climate change and low-carbon strategies are increasingly becoming an integral part of organizations that want to remain locally and globally competitive in the industrial, mining and energy sectors. This certificate is for suppliers from industry, energy, mining and related sectors who want to reduce their organization’s carbon footprint and learn from industry and research experts in clean energy technologies, carbon mitigation, leadership and change management, and transition modeling and risk management. The program will highlight the latest education, technology, research, and tools to support companies in making the transition to a low-carbon economy and developing strategies to achieve measurable carbon reduction.

Over three days, participants will learn:

  • Changes companies can make to be a part of a green supply chain
  • Current regulatory landscape in Canada
  • Short- and long-term strategies to achieve measurable carbon reduction
  • Funding opportunities for these sectors in moving toward a low-carbon economy

This event is being organized by CETRI and the Saskatchewan Industrial & Mining Suppliers Association Inc.
